Ways to Give
Hunger Intervention Program is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Donations are tax-deductible and go entirely to support HIP's Community Kitchen and meals programs to help those in need.
- $100 provides three months' worth of weekend Healthy HIP Packs for one hungry child.
- $60 provides all the healthy ingredients for an entire Community Kitchen.
- $40 provides 120 hearty sandwiches for individual and families in crisis.
- $10 provides 10 bagged lunches to homeless and low-income community members.
Pre-tax and Matching Gifts
Many employers, including RealNetworks and Microsoft, will match your HIP cash donation. Send your employer-sponsored matching-funds paperwork with your donation. We will be happy to handle the application process.
HIP is a recognized organization of the Washington State Combined Fund Drive (CFD) for state employees and the King county Employee Giving Program (KCEGP) for county employees. Pre-tax donations through CFD and KCEGP can be directed to Hunger Intervention Program. HIP's CFD code is 517756. HIP's KCEGP code is 9355.
Hunger Intervention Program Gift Card
Gift your “hard-to-shop-for” friends and relatives with a donation to Hunger Intervention Program in their honor. Your tax-deductible gift goes directly to food purchases.
Please send your request by email and include the gift recipient's name and address. Your gift can be for any amount you choose, and payment can be made by check or online. HIP will promptly send the gift card to the recipient.
